Great Little Place! Highly recommended. We stayed here over Christmas and New Year. It was part of a package deal booked via Expedia with a great (cheap) flight. I used to live in Scotland, so I was aware of the area, the size of most similar type accommodations so my expectations were realistic. I have to say they were exceeded by this lovely little flat. Is it a royal palace, no - but at this price point you cannot expect that. What it is, is a lovely little place with lots of natural light, a great feel/vibe to it and very peaceful and quiet. It's in a largely residential area that is NOT a tourist spot. It is however placed well for traveling to Edinburgh and Glasgow and that is the point of staying here. You are not visiting Bellshill - definitely not a place to visit this is a BASE for sightseeing - what you are doing is placing yourself in a great location for travel to several areas. We were not bothered by one person the whole time we were there - when we almost drove off without a suitcase (haha) one of the ladies walking up the street came running after the car to tell us! Nobody friendlier than the Scots. The flat has a cooker and gas cooktop that works great. Very small refrigerator but does the job. Washing machine worked well and we used the clothes drying rack provided. Shower is in master bedroom and there is also a little toilet and sink in the hallway - this worked well for us. The kitchen sink and washer are in a little room through the back door - gets a bit cold in there but I liked the cold, fresh air and we didn't spend much time there except for doing dishes or loading the washer. Garbage and recycling cans are right at the back door - not pretty, but what does anyone expect, they are functional! I think it would be a good thing for the owner to let guests know when and where they are supposed to put out the containers for pickup as the entire time we were there nobody emptied them and on our last day, we were not able to empty the trash while cleaning up, because there was no space left outside. The bed is comfortable, the mirrored wardrobes have a lot of storage (we left a bunch of hangers behind for future guests) - one is slightly broken but doesn't stop them from functioning. The sofa bed in living room is comfy and the TV and internet works great. Radiators are great for drying clothes too! So nice to have space to relax, watch TV, cook (if you want) and just hang out after a day of sightseeing. You just don't get all of this with a hotel room. There are minor little things that could be improved as with anywhere (broken rack on fridge, wardrobe door needs aligned - nothing major) but all in all, we really loved this little flat - it really enhanced our stay and we would absolutely go back there and stay again. Also - there IS a radiator in the front bedroom and if you close the curtains all the way and put behind the tie back holder, it will keep the room darker. A blind would be a nice addition though. Also, to the person that said bathroom and toilet doors don't shut - we didn't have this problem.

Great value for money. Basic but everything you need for a short stay. Great broadband and right near the station. Bellside not the prettiest or trendiest bit of Glasgow.

Poor facilities, bathroom and toilet doors do not shut. Rooms dark, except the bedroom which was light all night due to the lack of blackout curtains. Definately wouldn't stay again and couldn't recommend, despite the proximity to the train station.

Had a lovely stay at this flat. Good central location and parking provided which was a bonus. Everything you need for a short stay. Tommy was perfect host and will definitely book again if in the area.

Elmbank Street Apartment is exactly what you need for perfect stay. Comfortable beds, equipped kitchen & great links between Edinburgh & Glasgow. Will be staying here again.
